Cam Closer | 2:29 | No Dialogue

Cam Closer from David F. Sandberg on Vimeo.

A short horror film about a camera phone with a very special feature.
Turn your lights down and your volume up.

Shot on a hacked Panasonic GH1

Synopsis
A woman (Lotta Losten) pulls out her phone to take a photo of her snack. She realizes the apple doesn't show up on the screen of her phone. She holds the camera up and slowly turns. She sees a body of a young woman laying face down on the floor just outside the living room door. Someone quickly pulls the body down the hall. When the woman looks for the body, she finds more than she bargained for.

My Thoughts
When the woman saw the body for the first time, I thought it was going to be her own dead body. Maybe she had been murdered, but hadn't realized she had died yet, so her ghost kept doing the normal things she did in a day.

I think it's strange the woman spent most of Cam Closer using the camera on her phone to see the supernatural woman, but at the end, she could see the supernatural woman after she put her phone down. What changed so she could see the supernatural woman without the help of her phone? Did the supernatural woman physically manifest enough to attack her? I also want to know what the supernatural woman plans on do to the woman. The supernatural woman could want to possess the woman. Alternatively, she could want to kill or hurt the woman.

David Sandberg's videos are short but they're scary because they effectively use time to develop their plots and scares.
