This is a little horror movie I made during a two day trip to north Iran. Enjoy and let me know what you think about it
Synopsis
In northern Iran, a young woman (Darya Mirzaei) wanders through a forest. At first, she hears normal sounds one would expect to hear in a forest. She soon hears noises that imply she's not alone.
My Thoughts
Unknown isn't scary, but it's creepy because the viewer never got to see what really happened. The young woman's vision could have become blurry because she has medical issues, or because she ingested something that would affect her vision. The ending implies something was in the forest with her. It sounds like a normal animal attacked her; however, the viewer never gets to see what attacked her. It could have been something else besides a normal animal. Something spooky could have been going on, but it's just as likely something normal was going on.
I usually think horror movies that leave out some information are creepier than ones that explain everything. Using your imagination to fill in the blanks makes horror movies creepier. However, I wish Unknown presented a little more information. The movie should have explained why the young woman in the forest in the first place and maybe why her vision was blurry. The ending should stay the same. I think Unknown would have still been creepy even with the extra information. For example, if the young woman went into the forest for a walk, and then she got attacked by something, it wouldn't be too much extra information given away, but the video would have made more sense.
